Amelia Baker serves as the 865 Academies Coach at West High School, where she supports students, teachers, and community partners in creating meaningful, career-connected learning experiences. In this role, she works with local businesses and organizations to build partnerships that give students hands-on opportunities to explore future career pathways, while also collaborating with teachers to imbed real-world applications in classroom learning.
Amelia spent more than 20 years in education as an English teacher, school counselor, assistant principal, and executive principal before taking time away and working in the non-profit and mental health fields. She returned to education in 2024 as a career counselor before transitioning into her current role as Academies Coach.
A graduate of Maryville College, the University of Tennessee, and Lincoln Memorial University, Amelia is a native Maryvillian and proud member of the West High community, where she lives with her husband and two children.
